LIHU‘E — Kawaihau ran over Da Kruzers, 14-2 to take a 6-0 lead in the standings of the Kaua‘i Senior Softball League following its match up at the Wailua Houselots field Saturday.
The Rookies followed that lead with a 23-11 edge over the Aloha Kia Lihu‘e A’s to improve to 5-0 with one bye in the standings.
Contests continue in the 15-team league, Saturday with contests being played at the Hanapepe fields with the undefeated Rookies take on ‘Ohana in a match starting at 11:30 a.m. The first contest will see the first ball being tossed at 9 a.m.
Contests will take place at the Puhi Park where two rain make up games bring five games to the field starting with ‘Ohana Rebels taking on the EK Legends at 9 a.m.
Kawaihau draws the bye this Saturday.
