KIF Paddling All-Stars named

LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation wrapped up its 2022 outrigger canoe paddling season with the Island School boys making school history by claiming titles in the Boys and Mixed class racing.

Kaua‘i High School prevailed through the COVID-19 pandemic to capture the girls class.

The 2022 regattas included distance racing at the mouth of the Hule‘ia Stream and Nawiliwili Harbor for the first three outings, followed by the sprints ending the season in the traditional Wailua River course.

The KIF Paddling All-Stars listing released Thursday can now put names to the faces of the paddlers that thrilled spectators through the season.
