POIPU — Kim Medeiros collected 191 points to finish the year as the All Around Cowgirl, according to the Kauai All Girl Rodeo Association, which released its year-end points based on the six rodeo events the organization hosts in the year.
Hallie Cristobal, who finished first in Breakaway Roping with 40 points, finished with 173 points to reign as the Reserve All Around Cowgirl.
Medeiros, who started with a third place finish in the overall Barrel Racing, First D, jumped to first place in Goat Tying where she picked up 52 points.
She ended tying with Taylor Langtad for second place in Breakaway Roping where both paniolo cowgirls ended with 30 points apiece.
Other close races included Raven Chow, riding Jet, and Kristyn Vasconcelles, riding Lily J, tying for the top spot in Barrel Racing, 3rd D with 30 points apiece.
