Kim Medeiros ekes out KAGRA All Around

POIPU — Kim Medeiros outpointed Wehilani Blackstad to walk away with All Around Cowgirl honors following the Kauai All Girls Rodeo Association event on Sunday at the CJM Country Stables arena in Poipu.

Early on, Blackstad eked out leads over Medeiros by taking the No. 4 spot in the first D of Barrel Racing over Medeiros who ended the go with the No. 5 position.

Blackstad continued to build a lead by taking the reserve position in the Goat Tying event over Medeiros who ended in No. 3.

Medeiros turned the tables starting with Breakaway Roping where she finished in first place after breaking the double-digit timing by netting a 9.65 second average on two go’s.

She continued the turnaround by taking first place in the first D of Pole Bending where Blackstad finished in No. 3 riding her horse, Luigi.
