Koloa Rum partners with the Las Vegas Raiders

KALAHEO — Named the “Official Ultra-Premium Rum of the Las Vegas Raiders,” Koloa Rum will bring their award-winning rums to the global event’s destination, augmenting the stadium spectator experience.

Koloa Rum Company announced its partnership with the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium this week.

“It’s a great feeling to announce our first professional sports partnership,” KRC’s President &CEO Bob Gunter said. “As a global brand poised for continued growth both domestically and abroad, we are honored to be a part of the guest experience at Allegiant Stadium and share our ‘spirit of aloha’ with Raiders fans and Las Vegas visitors from around the world, in hopes they are delighted by the uniqueness of our products and seek to enjoy our rums long after they’ve returned home.”

The agreement grants Koloa Rum Company prominent visibility within Allegiant Stadium, including a branded stadium bar located inside the Twitch Lounge. Koloa Kaua’i White Rum will be offered as a deluxe option across concession stands.

“Our Koloa Kaua’i White Rum will be offered as a deluxe option across concession stands and two specialty cocktails created by Allegiant Stadium’s ‘Modern Mixologist,’ Tony Abou Ganim, will also be featured at the Raiders’ home stadium including a Rum Punch cocktail featuring Koloa Dark Rum and a Frozen Cable Car blended with Koloa Spice Rum,” Gunter said.

Two specialty cocktails created by Allegiant Stadium’s “Modern Mixologist” Tony Abou Ganim, will also be featured at the Raiders’ home stadium, including a Rum Punch cocktail featuring Koloa Dark Rum and a Frozen Cable Car blended with Koloa Spice Rum.

“The Raiders are excited to welcome Koloa Rum Company as our newest partner,” said Brandon Doll, Raiders’ SVP of Strategy &Business Development. “Koloa Rum Company is a great match as evidenced by their commitment to producing high-quality, ultra-premium rums that will enhance the beverage experience for Raiders fans and guests of Allegiant Stadium.”

Located adjacent to the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, Allegiant Stadium is a global events destination, highlighted by the arrival of the NFL’s iconic Raiders in 2020. Allegiant Stadium, which won “Best Venue” honors at the 2020 World Football Summit Industry Awards, is ideally located for both visitors and locals, fully enclosed and climate-controlled with a capacity of 65,000.

The technologically advanced stadium will host world-class entertainment including concerts and sporting events such as the Pac-12 Championship Game, Las Vegas Bowl, and Concacaf Gold Cup Final, and serves as the home of UNLV Football.

The stadium project is expected to generate an economic benefit of $620 million annually while creating 6,000 permanent jobs in Southern Nevada.

The partnership fortifies Koloa Rum’s brand with a strong foothold in the “Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World” as they continue to expand to new markets, both nationally and abroad. The Kaua‘i-based, single-batch craft rum distillery currently distributes in 30 states and internationally including Australia, Canada, and Japan.

KRC’s sales and marketing team were constantly looking for opportunities for them to expand their distribution.

“We knew we wanted to build on our existing business in Utah, Arizona, and especially Las Vegas as we know the natural synergy between Hawai‘i and the ‘ninth island’ is so strong,” Gunter said. “We also had a desire to align with a professional sports team, which made partnering with the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium an easy decision. The multi-year partnership became official this month (June).”

Gunter said the partnership supports their distribution goals by securing a strong foothold in the “Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World” and allows them to reach new audiences from across the country and around the world.

“As a proud partner of the Raiders, we’re eager to bring our premium rums to Raiders fans and sports enthusiasts as well as concert-goers from around the globe,” Gunter said.
