KORK launches at Back to School Bash

LIHU‘E — Life for young people extends beyond the one-day Back to School Bash, and families can enjoy the Kaua‘i ‘Ohana Resource Kiosk whenever they are at Kukui Grove Center near the Keiki Korner play area.

“This innovative space is your one-stop shop to find out everything you need to know about resources, programs and events for families on Kaua‘i,” said Alice Luck, the president and CEO of Kaua‘i Planning &Action Alliance.

“Want to know more about programs in your community for keiki? We got you! Looking for local resources for health, wellness and child and youth enrichment? This is the place.”

Keiki to Career Kaua‘i is partnering with the state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office, KGC, Kamehameha Schools, Hawai‘i Pacific Health’s Wilcox Medical Center, Kaua‘i Makerspace and Hale ‘Opio to bring this resource kiosk to Kaua‘i’s families.

Keiki to Career, in opening the kiosk, is looking for additional partners for the KORK.

“This is a great opportunity for you to do outreach at one of the most popular places on Kaua‘i,” Luck said. “Community partners will have the opportunity to submit brochures, flyers, video, digital images and outreach to the community to promote their services.”
