KSA titles on the line

LIHUE — Hawaii Chaos’ Kingston Anakalea and Kaleb Panui each scored two goals to lead the 10 Under boys’ team to a 6-1 win over the Keahi Boys 10 Under team Sunday to advance Chaos into the finals of the Kauai Soccer Association fall season at the North Vidinha fields.

Anakalea’s foot found the net in the first three minutes of play to give Chaos a 1-0 lead that was answered by the Keahi squad in the 28th minute for the 1-1 tie at the break.

The Chaos floodgate of scores opened in the second half when Tavian Kaleiohi came up with his goal in the 27th minute followed by a host of other scores.

The Chaos victory will pit the 10Under boys against Kaleimanu 10 Boys, a 4-1 winner over KBFC (Kauai Braveheart Futsal Club) 10B Livingston. The title game is scheduled to kick off at 10 a.m., Sunday at the North Vidinha fields.

Other title games include Team Onipa‘a 9G, a 2-1 winner over Rush Kauai 10UF in the semifinals, against Team Onipa‘a 10G who engineered a 5-0 shutout over the Futsal Kauai 10G in the semifinals.

Rush Kauai 12UG, taking a 3-2 edge over KBFC 08B Celtic in a penalty kick shootout, will meet Futsal Kauai 08G in the title match of that division after Futsal Kauai 08G beat out Keahi SC 08G, 5-2 in the semis.

KBFC 08B Celtic will be matching up against Futsal Kauai 08B for the title of that division after Futsal Kauai 08B defeated Kaleimanu 08B, 6-2 in that semifinal matchup.

The Keahi SC 06G edged out East Side United 06G, 3-2 in another penalty kick shootout during the semifinals to earn the spot opposite the top seeded Futsal Kauai 06G for the finals of that division.

On the boys’ field for the 14U Boys division, the Slammers FC Kauai took a 7-2 win over Futsal Kauai Green to earn a spot against the Keahi SC 06B who was a 3-2 winner over Futsal Kauai Gold 06B during the semifinals.

There is no admission to view the competition that is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. for all games except the 14 Under Boys’ match that begins at 11:45 a.m. at the North Vidinha fields.
