LIHU‘E — The 70s Division senior softball players had a rough weekend, as their Friday contests were postponed due to rain the previous evening.
“The games on Saturday were highlighted by high-scoring wins as the top four teams held serve,” said J.C. Crouch of the Kaua‘i Senior Softball League. “The fifth through ninth teams took turns beating each other.
The league-leading Rookies were a dozen runs better than West Kaua‘i. Barteks, currently No. 2 in the standings, beat up the East Kaua‘i Legends, 31-9.
Imi‘Ola shut out the Hanamaulu Hillsiders 25-0. And the Keonimana Gents were a dozen runs better than the Lihu‘e A’s.
The senior softballers continue play, Saturday, at Isenberg Park and Wailua Houselots Park. First pitch at both sites go at 9 a.m.
If the weather holds, the 70s division team have a go, Friday, at Isenberg Park with the first pitch throwing at 9 a.m.
