LIHUE — As part of KW Kauai’s “RED Day,” the real estate firm will host a charity golf fundraiser. Proceeds will go toward the YWCA of Kauai.
The tournament is scheduled for Friday at Hokuala Golf Course. Registration begins 7 a.m., and shotgun start is scheduled for 8 a.m.
“RED Day is built on the belief that people can and should come together to achieve extraordinary things to help others,” said Don Kolenda, KW Kauai team leader, in a news release. “This year, we chose YWCA because we felt this could be the biggest impact we could make in our community to such a great cause that helps so many.
“With the outreach of the community and companies like Title Guaranty, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Element Mortgage, Old Republic Title Company, Allstate and Safari Helicopter coming through with big donations, we are hoping to make at least a $10,000 donation to the YWCA.”
RED Day is KW Kauai’s annual day of service that is held in the second week of May.
Team of four players will compete in the tournament. Those who will enter individually will be put in teams.
To register, call KW Kauai at 245-5758. Cost is $125 per player, which covers 18 holes of play and a lunch. Players can also sign up the morning of the fundraiser.
