KOLOA – The Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC., are announcing that Maluhia Road and Koloa Road are scheduled for single-lane closures on through Nov. 20.
Preparation work for pavement markings will be conducted on Maluhia Road under a single lane closure from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Additionally, multiple sections of Koloa Road, between Po‘ipu Road and Piko Road, will be under single-lane closures for shoulder construction, paving, and concrete driveway apron construction. The hours of operation for the single-lane closures will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During closures on both roads, one lane of alternating traffic will be maintained and flaggers will be positioned to assist motorists. Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.
Given the intensity of the work on Koloa Road, eastbound motorists from the West Side, Kalaheo, or Lawa‘i are recommended to take Kaumuali‘i Highway to Maluhia Road to access Koloa and Po‘ipu.
Traffic delays may occur during this period so please plan ahead. Motorists are advised to follow all traffic control signs and personnel.
