LIHU‘E — Marian Ogata of the Lihu‘e Senior Center said the best recommendation she can make is to get there, early.
“We’ll have the cookies and other baked goods,” Ogata said. “And, there’s some food, too! Anything to eat goes real fast so people need to get here early for the best selection.”
The Lihu‘e Senior Center Bonsai Display and Country store opens at 9 a.m. and runs through 1 p.m. at the Lihu‘e Neighborhood Center located adjacent to the Isenberg Park.
Featured items include the crafting talents of the Lihu‘e and Waimea Senior Centers, the food, and the bonsai display from the Lihu‘e Senior Center Bonsai Club.
“This is the Bonsai Class, not Club,” said Bobby Girald. “We’re different from the Bonsai Club.”
Members of the Bonsai Club will be on hand to talk about their bonsai creations, as well as engage in conversation with people working on their own creations.
