Like named acting prosecuting attorney

LIHU‘E — Rebecca V. Like has been named acting prosecuting attorney in the county Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.

Like previously served as second deputy prosecuting attorney for nine years, and has been with OPA since 2010. She has handled caseloads in the District, Family and Circuit Courts in addition to her duties as a supervisor for the OPA.

Jennifer S. Winn has been named acting first deputy prosecuting attorney, and Leon J.C. Davenport III was named acting second deputy prosecuting attorney. Winn has been with OPA for 14 years. Davenport has worked at the OPA since September 2015.

The change in leadership took effect on Friday, Oct. 1, following the recent retirement of former Prosecuting Attorney Justin Kollar.

Like has filed nomination papers to run for the post in the December special election.
