LIHU‘E — Employers who need to maintain their payroll through the COVID-19 emergency can enroll in a federal Paycheck Protection Program, which allows financial institutions to issue loans to small businesses under the guidelines of the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act).
The Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce has put together a list of institutions currently offering PPP loans: Bank of Hawai‘i, Central Pacific Bank, First Hawaiian Bank, Gather Federal Credit Union and Kaua‘i Government Employees Federal Credit Union.
