Manhole work set for Lihu‘e

LIHU‘E — The county Department of Public Works Wastewater Management Division’s contractor will be performing manhole inspections on the Lihu‘e sewer-collection system for approximately four weeks, from the end of July to the middle of August.

It is anticipated that the contractor will be at a manhole between one and four hours.

The inspections will be performed on: Fujii Street, Inouye Street, Hiraoka Street, Jerves Street, Oxford Street, Poinciana Street, Kali Road, ‘Ehiku Street, ‘Elima Street, ‘Eono Street, ‘Eha Street, ‘Ekolu Street, Hinahina Street, Ainakea Street, Noi Road and Kanakolu Street.

The inspections will be performed between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Traffic control, using flaggers, will be implemented in the work areas.

Motorists should drive with caution, expect delays and adjust travel times as needed.
