KOLOA — The county Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC announced more partial lane closures on Koloa and Maluhia roads today through Friday, Aug. 27, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for guardrail and shoulder work.
Ala Kalanikaumaka is closed until Sunday, Aug. 29 to southbound traffic from Koloa Road to Lopaka Paipa Boulevard, in order for crews to complete the makai portion of the Koloa Road roundabout.
Eastbound traffic on Koloa Road heading into Koloa will be detoured onto Po‘ipu Road. The Koloa Road roundabout will be open to westbound and eastbound traffic, and Ala Kalanikaumaka will remain open for northbound traffic.
Large trucks and trailers and motorists coming from Kaumuali‘i Highway are recommended to use Maluhia Road to access Koloa and Po‘ipu.
