New hours at Waiohinu, Ocean View transfer stations

The county said Friday there will be new days and hours at the Waiohinu and Ocean View transfer stations in Ka‘u.

Starting Nov. 1, both the facilities will be open for residential trash disposal three days per week, Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

On those three days, the Waiohinu station will be open from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Recycling services will be available from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. HI-5 deposit beverage container collection will continue as usual, Saturdays only from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

On those three days, the Ocean View station be open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. HI-5 deposit beverage container collection will continue as usual, Saturdays only from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
