North Shore career fair Tuesday

KILAUEA — A career fair links those seeking and those offering jobs Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Anaina Hou Community Park. It is the New Beginnings Third annual North Shore Career Fair.

“It appears that everyone is hiring,” said Ben Karon, Anaina Hou operations director. “We adjusted our timing availability so people would not get caught in the crunch of child care.”

Vendors seeking to fill positions should bring tables and chairs.

“With the workforce being more selective than ever, this is a great time to share why your business is a great opportunity, or career,” Karon said.

Vendors can set up from 2 p.m.

Karon said the career fair saves people the inconvenience of driving from place to place in search of opportunities.

His suggests to prospective employees: “Bring your best-dressed self, your resume, and be prepared to tell these employers why you are the perfect match for their opportunity.”
