Born in Dingas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired plant propagator for the Bureau of Plant Industry in the Philippines, worked for Aloha Welding Shop, McConnell Orchid Nursery and Pacific Floral Resources and was a bible student of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Friday, March 12, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Service at 6 p.m. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 13 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Aiko “Grace” Nirei Medeiros, 94, formerly of Papaikou, died Feb. 13 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Hilo, she was a retired kitchen helper for Café 100 and member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Papaikou Pensioners Club, and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
