Jeffrey “Jeff” Barauis Bailado, 62, of Ocean View died Feb. 16 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Hilo, he was a retired airport maintenance man. Services at a later date. Survived by brothers, Emelio (Goody) Bailado of Germany, Darryl (Mercy) Bailado of Wahiawa, Oahu and Curtis Bailado of Ocean View; sisters, Laveinia (Harry) Respicio of Hilo and Sorania (Eugene) Miller of Ocean View; brother-in-law, Jim Stockman of Reno, Nev.; nieces, nephews and cousins. Marie Hayashikawa Hamamoto, 92, of Pasadena, Calif., formerly of Hilo, died Jan. 23. Born in Pahoa, she was a bookkeeper. Services at a later date. Survived by daughters, Barbara (Gary) Burnett, Kathleen Kikkawa, Phyllis (Dorai) Paris and Sandra (Fred) Luckau; stepson, Dennis (Patty) Hamamoto; six grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; nieces and nephews.

Hisashi Hayakawa, 93, of Honolulu, formerly of Papaikou, died Feb. 15. Born in Papaikou, he was a heavy equipment operator Hilo Coast Processing Company. Private services at a later date. Survived by spouse, Sue Hayakawa of Newcastle, Wash.; daughter, Ellen (Craig) Okamoto of Newcastle, Wash.; sons, Warren (Sachiyo) Hayakawa and Gary (Shirleen) Hayakawa of Honolulu; sisters, Fusae Hayakawa, Nancy Hayakawa, Helen (David) Hamasaki and Jane Okazaki of Honolulu; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Lawrence “Larry” Warren Landers, 97, of Keaau, formerly of Denver and Portland, Ore., died Feb. 27 at home. Born in Wilsonville, Ill., he worked as a stationary engineer in Denver and retired from Lewis &Clark College in Portland. Eliane Rees-Thomas, 84, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 8 at home. Born in Chatel-Saint-Denis (Fribourg, Switzerland), she was a preschool teacher, nurse’s aide, French teacher, Bible teacher and homemaker. Celebration of life 10 a.m., Saturday, March 13, at Livingstones Church in Kailua-Kona. Face masks and social distancing required. Survived by husband, David C. Rees-Thomas of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Michelle (Nick) Romo of Kailua-Kona; son, David Rees-Thomas Jr. of Switzerland; two grandchildren. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Shana Marie Stuart, 53, of Kailua-Kona died Jan. 24 at Kona Community Hospital.
