Robert Eric Aslund, 62, of Hilo died May 3 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Ruislip, England, he was a longtime member of Hale ‘Oluea Clubhouse for the disabled and his goal was to make everyone he came in contact with smile. No services. Survived by mother, Joan Cudeback of Hilo; stepfather, Ken Cudeback of Hilo; daughter, Jackie Ka‘iulani Aslund of Virginia; brothers, Jon (Rhonda) Cudeback and Eric (Kathy) Cudeback of Southern California; sisters, Cathy Pomaika‘i Anderson of Kawaihae and Donna Mililani (Milan) Marich of Ohio; cousins. Frances Rodillas, 94, of Hilo died May 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired Hawaii County Police Department lieutenant, retired U.S. Army 1st lieutenant, member and extraordinary minister of St. Joseph Catholic Church and member of Ancient Order of Foresters Court Mauna Kea No. 8854, Y.M.I. and Knights of Columbus. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Face masks and social distancing required. Private burial with military honors to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Survived by sons, Charles P. (Patricia) Rodillas of North Carolina and Francis H. (Martha) Rodillas of Hilo; daughter, Davon (Douglas) Lowrimore of Hilo; brother, Charles Rodillas of Hilo; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Samantha Kalauluolono Paulette Roxburgh (Maialoha), 74, of Hawi died May 19 at home. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired ward clerk at St. Francis Hospital. Private service held. Survived by husband, Francis A. Roxburgh of Hawi; sons, Glen S. (Tracie Cazimero) Roxburgh of Hawi and Krieg (Sarah Kessler Iwamuro) Roxburgh of Las Vegas; daughter, Summer M. Il Son “Un Ju” “Cecilia” Villesca, 70, of Hilo died May 16 at her Mountain View home. Born in Masan, South Korea, she was a member of Hilo Korean Methodist Church and avid bingo player. Private services at a later date. Survived by son, Sony (Darilyn) Villesca of Waikoloa; daughters, Jennifer (Russell Mendez) Villesca and Vanessa (Clarence) Cottrell of Hilo; brother, Il Young Son of Korea; two grandchildren. Herbert Hideto Yamada, 85, of Kealakekua died April 24 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Piihonua, he was a retired glazier for Honolulu Glass Co.; a member of Carpenters Union Local 889 and U.S. Army veteran. Services at a later date. Survived by daughters, Yvonne Keanaaina of Honolulu, Jaye Kalilikane of Honalo, Phyllis (John) Alapai of Kealakekua and Terri (Juan) Villanueva of San Diego; brother, Harvey (June) Yamada of Hilo; 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
