John “Johnny Boy” Iowane Ahuna III, 65, of Paauilo died Nov. 1 at home. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired crane operator for the former Hamakua Sugar Co., employee of Waipio Valley Taro Products and member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and Pilau Motorcycle Club. Visitation 8-9:45 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 30) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire. Arnold “Arnie” Clyde Colgrove, 90, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 23 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Minneapolis, he was a retired accounting manager for Northern State Power and U.S. Army veteran. Services with military honors 9 a.m. Friday (Nov. 29) at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Christopher (Ying Huang) Colgrove of Captain Cook and Anthony (Khanittha Gault) Colgrove of Kailua-Kona; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Dorothy “Sachi” Sachiko Hirowatari, 84, of Ninole died Nov. 2 at Hilo Medical Center. Born March 24, 1935, in Waikaumalo, she was the retired owner and Realtor of Maile Realty and a member of Hakalau Jodo Mission. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 30) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire. Chevry-Taylor Kawaiho’onani Okalani Kalai, 26, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 29 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker, cook and baker. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by boyfriend, Aisea Ahonima; children, Chasten Kalai-Ahonima, Chancen Kalai-Ahonima, Azayliah Kalai-Ahonima, Chaizen Kalai-Ahonima and Airiebell Kalai-Ahonima of Kailua Kona; parents, Renny Aaron Kalai of Honolulu and Christina (Joseph) Watts of Hilo; siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Rhona Elizabeth Leinaala Reeves, 80, of Hilo died May 24 at a private care home in Hilo. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired cashier at Royal Hawaiian Hotel and a private care home operator. Survived by husband, William Reeves Sr. of Hilo (since deceased); sons, William (Beatrice) Reeves Jr. of New York, Derek (Priscilla) Reeves of Kaneohe, Oahu, Jay Reeves of Hilo and Steward (Roz) Reeves of California; daughter, Michelle (Alan) Lane of Kapolei, Oahu; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. William Paul Jarett Haalilio Reeves Sr., 82 of Hilo died Oct. 11 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired Honolulu firefighter. Services at a later date.
