Barie-Lin Kanani Haumea Learned
Barie-Lin Kanani Haumea Learned, 54, of Wainiha, Kauai, passed away at home during her time living in Mission Viejo, California, on April 12, 2025. She was born on June 12, 1970, on Kauai. She was a loving wife, mom, and mama.
She was preceded in death by her mother Eleanor “Lady” Haumea, father John Haumea Sr., father-in-law Orville Learned, brother Blaine Haumea, sister-in-law Harriet Gidget Regidor Learned and nephew Lee Harvey Haumea.
She is survived by her husband Gerardo “Gerry” Learned Sr., son Gerardo “Gerry Boy” Learned Jr., daughters Tasia-Lin Learned, Tisha Dusenberry-Lee, granddaughters Taylin Learned-Enrique, Taylee Learned-Enrique, Audreyana Dusenberry-Lee, grandsons Keanu Gerardo Learned, Dallas Hoopai, brothers John Haumea Jr., Wilbert “Bono” Haumea, sisters Kehau Haumea-Seremur, Stephanie Haumea, Annettee Haumea, numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at Halulu Fishpond at Waipa from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The scattering of ashes will take place at a later date with immediate family.
Gary ‘Sebring’ Ramos
Celebrating 97 years of our loving father, and husband, Gary “Sebring” Ramos. Born in Aparri, Cagayan, Philippines, on Feb. 13, 1928. He was the last living sibling of 12 children. Our beloved father left us on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, to continue on to his journey.
He was preceded in death by his wife Remedios Ramos and his only son Gary Dean Ramos.
His legacy of unconditional love, generosity, and support will continue with his daughters, JoAnn (Douglas) Ichimura, Sharon Lutao and Terry Ellen (Warren) Sakuda.
In this lifetime he was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Garden Island Mortuary. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery.
