Abrahm “Abe” Phillip Bernard, 50, of Puna and Honolulu died May 30 in California. Born in Honolulu, he was care center manager for all of Hawaiian Memorial Life Plan firms: Borthwick Mortuaries, Ballard Family Mortuaries and Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery and a graduate of Cypress College of Mortuary Science. Wray Hikaru Kondo, 68, of Honolulu died June 17 at Kuakini Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired attorney for Watanabe Ing. Services held in Honolulu. Peter Ian Mac Donald, 74, of Mountain View died Sept. 3 at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Oahu, he was a former warden at Kulani Correctional Facility and Hawaii Community Correctional Center and member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. Elizabeth Young Millare, 91, of Kukuihaele died Sept. 16, at the family’s home. Born in Waipio Valley, she was a homemaker and member of Honokaa Seventh-day Adventist Church. Sally Jean Rose, 87, of Kailua-Kona, died Aug. 15 home. Born in Oakland, Calif., she was a retired charter fishing business owner. Service information at a later date. Akira Yanagida, 95, of Hilo died Aug. 12 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired iron worker for the former Hilo Construction Inc. and U.S. Army World War II veteran.
