Richard Poncio Bayot

Richard Poncio Bayot, of Kekaha, passed away on May 15, 2025, at Straub Benioff Hospital on Oahu at the age of 65. He was born on Nov. 22, 1959, in Waimea. He was a retired electronic technician at Pacific Missile Range Facility.

He was preceded in death by his father Poncio Bayot, brother Eugene Keo Bayot, paternal grandparents Feliciano and Eugenia Bayot, and maternal grandparents Vidal and Takeyo Badua.

He is survived by his wife Elsie Malabe Bayot, mother Edna Badua Bayot, sister Edee Nichols (Kim), sons Darrick Bayot (Sheryl), Rilen Bayot (Shy), stepsons Norman T. Vea Jr. (Macey Parongao), Aaron Kai Vea (Christine), stepdaughter Nikki Corona (Cy), nine grandchildren, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, located at 8640 Kiowea Road in Kekaha. Visitation with the family from 8:30 to 10 a.m., followed by the celebration of life. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Nu‘uanu Memorial Park and Mortuary and Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.

Reynalda J. Acoba

Reynalda J. Acoba passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 70. She was born on April 8, 1955, in Vintar, Philippines.

She was preceded in death by her son Jeofrey Acoba, parents Salvador and Evarista Acoba, sisters Pilar Mabini, Natividad Mabini, Pricilla Acoba, Placida Visitacion, and Francesca Jose.

She is survived by her husband Renato Acoba of Kekaha, sons Warden (Married) Acoba, Renato (Rhoda) Acoba Jr., daughter Floreva (Roland) Cadavona, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brothers Villamor (Leasing) Jose, Pepito (Gloria) Jose, Vincent (Lynne) Jose, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Garden Island Mortuary. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a celebration of life. The family requests aloha attire and omit flowers.

Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.

Thomas M Hall

Thomas M Hall, 84, passed away on May 21, 2025, at his home in Kekaha. He was born on Sept. 26, 1940, in New York. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and he was a retired electronic technician from Pacific Missile Range Facility.

He was preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Margaret Hall, and sister Peggy Coyne.

He is survived by his wife Barbra Hall, sister Janet Hall, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in private.
