Police: Burglars stole DLNR vehicles

Police are seeking for the public’s assistance in finding vehicles which were stolen from the Department of Land and Natural Resources Forest and Wildlife Division baseyard in Hilo.

Police say sometime between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Wednesday, the front gate padlocks of the East Kawili Street baseyard were cut. A suspect or suspects then forcibly entered the office area and took numerous sets of vehicle and ATV keys.

Stolen were a 2007 gold Toyota pickup truck and a silver 2018 Ford F-350 pickup truck towing a black Great Northern tilt trailer carrying a 2016 dark green Polaris Ranger UTV.

Officers found the pickup truck Wednesday morning at at a private residence on Plumeria Street in Mountain View.
