LIHU‘E — The present and future of electric vehicles on Kaua‘i will be discussed Wednesday, Oct. 13, during an online panel hosted by the Kaua‘i Climate Action Forum.
Noel Morin, president of the nonprofit electric vehicle advocacy group Hawai‘i EV, is the keynote speaker. He will be joined by Kaua‘i Community College EV instructor Gordon Talbo and Kaua‘i County Councilmember Luke Evslin, who will discuss potential county action on EV-charging stations.
Morin “will talk about sustainable-transportation strategies, Hawai‘i’s journey to a clean-transportation future, speed bumps to overcome to accelerate decarbonization, social equity issues and more,” a press release states.
The Kaua‘i Climate Action Forum is presented by the Kaua‘i Climate Action Coalition, the Kaua‘i chapter of the Surfrider Foundation and Zero Waste Kaua‘i. It is held on the second Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m.
A question-and-answer session and discussion will follow the speakers.
