Kalaheo lane closures extended through Friday
KALAHEO — The public is advised that portions of Waha and Lauoho roads in Kalaheo will be under one-lane closures through Friday, Sept. 2, weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting.
The lane closures will allow the County of Kaua‘i Roads Division to conduct tree and grass trimming along the roadway.

Hanama‘ulu lane closures through Sept. 9
HANAMA‘ULU — The Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC., are announcing that sections of ‘Akuli Street and Hanama‘ulu Road will be under short lane closures from Aug. 29 to Sept. 9, on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No work will occur on Sept. 5 in observance of Labor Day.
These closures are necessary for improvements to pedestrian access to the school including new road striping and sidewalk improvements.
Safe walking routes for students, parents, and pedestrians will be provided. No road work will occur during the peak times for school drop off and pick up. Expect brief occasional delays.
The project has an estimated completion date of November 2022.

Koloa road work scheduled
KOLOA — The Department of Public Works and Pacific Concrete Cutting and Coring, Inc., are announcing that portions of Po‘ipu Road near Koloa Elementary School will be closed from Sept. 1 to Sept. 30, on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No work will occur on Sept. 5 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
These short lane closures are necessary to improve pedestrian access to the school, including new sidewalks, crosswalks, and ADA ramps.
Safe walking routes for students, parents, and pedestrians will be provided. No road work will occur during the peak traffic times for school drop-off and pick-up.
This project is scheduled to be completed in December 2022.

• The Department of Public Works and its contractor Maui Kupono Builders are announcing that portions of Waikomo Road in Koloa will be closed today, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The lane closures are necessary for road resurfacing work.
Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at both ends of the work zone to direct traffic.
