Seedlings available in ‘Ele‘ele, Saturday

‘ELE‘ELE — Roy Miyashiro, Basilio “Coach Bunga” Fuertes, and ‘Ele‘ele Elementary School student Carmila Udarbe will have seedlings available, Saturday from 8 a.m. until supplies are exhausted, or 10 a.m.

Available at the ‘Ele‘ele Shopping Center near the entrance to Gather Federal Credit Union, the seedling varieties including the University of Hawai‘i green, and Nitta variety purple eggplants, the Harada dark green sweet peppers, zucchini, won bok, or Napa cabbage, mustard cabbage, two varietys of squash — Sequa or ridge squash, or Kabatiti, Japanese cucumber, Hawaiian hot chili pepper, wild spinach, medium-sized bitter melon, and Harada long beans.

Proceeds from this Udarbe project are used to ensure future distributions with any left over set aside for Udarbe’s college fund.
