LIHU‘E — The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center will be at the county Kaua‘i Resource Center, 3460 Ahukini Rd., at the Lihu‘e Refuse Transfer Station near Lihu‘e Airport, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., to accept unwanted items from the public.
Interested parties may bring in unwanted or unneeded items for reuse, including clothing, small furniture, children’s toys, books, and shoes.
Clothing and textiles do not need to be in good condition. Do not bring eWaste, chemicals, appliances, or broken items. The public is encouraged to check local thrift stores to see if they are capable of taking donations before bringing items to the KRC.
The ARC also offers pick-up services to thrift stores and businesses. Please call 808-241-4336 to schedule new service. For individuals who would like home pickup service, contact Habitat for Humanity Restore at 808-335-6105 or RP’s Random Closet 808-346-0020.
