Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles:
Weekly update
‘The Nokdu Flower’
Episodes 13 and 14; 15 and 16 (Sun.)
Today, 6:45 p.m.: The victory celebration at Hwangto-hyun was brief, as the Donghak army is to face the royal army from capital soon. Jeon Bong Jun gets the arms ready with the help of Ja In. Yi Hyun returns to Gobu and tells Seok Ju that he will push ahead with his marriage to Lady Myung Sim as planned.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Ja In faces the royal army as she leaves Donghak camp ground. The royal army, led by Hong Gye Hoon, equips themselves with the latest arms are to face Donghak army at Hwangryong River. The Donghak army is taken aback when seeing the arms brought on by Jeon Bong Jun. It is an unavoidable battle necessary to move on to a new world.
‘The Secret Life of My Secretary’
Episodes 5 and 6 (Mon.); 7 and 8 (Tues.)
Monday, 7:45 p.m.: The suspect for Min Ik’s attempted murder case is his very friend, Dae Ju. Gal Hee shows up where Park Group’s heiress, Veronica Park, is to show up. Min Ik mistakes Gal Hee for Veronica and so Gal Hee’s double life begins.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Gal Hee has always lived as the one taking orders, not giving it. It’s a dream living as Veronica Park, bossing her boss around. She enjoys her precarious double life. The real Veronica meets the all-honest Dae Ju, developing unexplainable feelings for him.
‘My Absolute Boyfriend’
Episodes 5 and 6 (Wed.); 7 and 8 (Thur.)
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m: Young Goo’s actions never cease to shock Da Da. Young-goo and Da Da enjoy a peaceful day of cleaning. On the other hand, Diana, heiress to DIA Group, anticipates eagerly for the arrival of Zero-Nine. Wong-joon agonizes over Da Da, as he feels her presence everywhere.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m: On the last day of shooting, Da Da makes a mistake, putting her in a precarious situation. Young-goo runs to the set to save Da Da. Wong-joon can’t seem to shake off his thoughts about Da Da. On the other hand, Da Da opens her heart to Young-goo and acknowledges him as a perfect boyfriend.
‘Pledge To God’
Episodes 1 and 2 (Fri.); Episodes 3 and 4 (Sat.)
Friday, 7:45 p.m: Ji Young and Jae Wook are expecting their first child. On the outside, Ji Young’s life seems perfect. But after learning that her friend, Na Kyung, is also pregnant with her husband’s baby, Ji Young divorces him. 6 years later, Ji Young finds out that her son, Hyeon Woo, is diagnosed with leukemia. To save her son’s life, Ji Young meets with her ex-husband for the first time in 6 years. The ex-spouses face an incredibly difficult decision.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m: Rumors set by Na Kyung start to circulate, potentially jeopardizing Ji Young’s career. Min Ho gets furious at Jae Wook, for threatening to sue to register Ji Young’s son. Ji Young confronts Na Kyung, saying that she will make sure Jae Wook abandons her if she continues to harass her.
