Zonta scholarships available

The Zonta Club of Kaua‘i announced the availability of an enhanced Scholarship Program for high school women, Kaua‘i Community College scholarship for women re-entering the workforce. 

These enhancements include High school scholarships will be awarded to qualified graduating female students for an Academic Scholarship to the amount of $1,000 by the Zonta Club of Kaua‘i Foundation.

The William and Marge Akana Scholarship will be awarded for $1,000 to an applicant pursuing a degree in Elementary Education as a teacher.

Dimples Kano has been a member of the Zonta Club of Kaua‘i for 50 years, and has contributed $1,000 towards scholarships.

Women returning to the workforce attending the Kaua‘i Community College who are interested in continuing her education will also be eligible for a scholarship.

Application forms are available through MaBel Ferreiro Fujiuchi at keo@keoinc.org, or fujiuchib@yahoo.com. Applications are also available through all Zonta Club of Kaua‘i members.

Completed applications must be postmarked prior to May 28, 2021, and mailed to: The Zonta Club of Kaua‘i Foundation Scholarships, Attention: MaBel Ferreiro Fujiuchi, P. O. Box 3032, Lihu‘e, HI 96766.
