Lecture explores grief, support

A lecture, “Good Grief: Embracing Life & Giving Good Support”, is set for 5 p.m. May 22 at the Princeville Public Library.

“Grief and providing good support for those grieving are difficult topics we tend to shy away from, often out of fear we will drive others away with our own grief or we will say the wrong thing to those who are grieving,” according to a press release. “In this lecture we will get cozy with grief, recognizing it is an inevitable part of life.”

The purpose of the lecture is to empower the grieving to find hope and ways to navigate through the tunnel of grief and shed light on the process for those supporting loved ones. It will also offer ways to create a partnership between the griever and their support systems.

This free event is made possible by the Friends of the North Shore Library at Princeville as part of the Dotty Nakea Memorial Speaker Program and Ohana Oasis.
