Downed trees a danger to drivers

Well, it’s been a couple months now that all the Westside residents have been driving past that stand of albizia trees leaning toward the road between Kahili and the Tree Tunnel. Am I the only one wondering if they intend to remove those trees or wait until a hurricane or tropical storm sends them crashing into the highway?

They took down all the rest of the trees but left those I suppose that need extra care in order to remove them. I’m no arborist but it sure seems they are unsafe and a liability for residents who traverse the road.

Perhaps the county should consider making a “setback” for farming trees so close to a major highway. It would seem prudent that the tree farm setback the distance of a falling tree. Just a thought.
