Visitor extends thank yous for assistance

I wish to thank the first responders who came to my husband’s aid near Poipu State Park last week, after my husband fell face first on to the pavement. My husband’s eye glasses shattered, cutting his face in several places and was bleeding profusely. I wish I could have met them and thanked them personally.

I was so impressed by the ER staff at Wilcox Hospital, Dr. Spencer Smith, ER Nurse Anne and ER Tech, David who tended to my husband. Anne was so gentle with cleaning up my husband’s facial wounds. Dr. Spencer demonstrated superb skill in putting my husband’s face back together. David, the ER tech, kept us calm. We so appreciated that.

Lastly, I owe much gratitude to Kauai resident, Kevin Doing, who called 911 when he saw my husband fall. I call him our Poipu Kauai Angel.

With sincere gratitude,

Mary Daniels, Newcastle, Washington
