Please make it easier for us old folks to get COVID-19 vaccine

A friend of mine just told me of the hassle his wife had to go through to get her COVID vaccination.

She went online and filled out the cumbersome forms, then after doing all that and showing up for her appointment they initially refused to give her the vaccine because she had no smartphone to “prove” she had an appointment.

The county is currently vaccinating folks over 75, and many seniors are technologically deficient when it comes to the internet and these electronic gadgets.

Why do they have to make it so difficult for us? Whatever happened to just having folks call on the phone and make an appointment? Why must all of this be done online and then “proved” by showing your appointment on a smartphone?

I’m wanting to get the vaccine myself, and while I at least know how to go online to stumble through the forms, I don’t have a smartphone for when I show up for the appointment. Please make it easier for us old folks! Start giving appointments for seniors via the telephone.
