‘Lobby Day’
I recently attended “Lobby Day” at the state Capitol in Honolulu with two other members of the American Association of University Women.
We attended to support the Equal Pay amendment that assures women and men make the same amount of money for a particular job.
Currently, women earn only 77 cents while men earn $1 for the same or equivalent work.
Please support women by calling your representative and giving them your opinion.
The other cause that we represented was support for Hawaii Reproductive Rights Bill Senate Bill 1.

Infants on planes
With the announcement on the news that safety issue for infants on an airplane. The airlines will start having infants ride in their own seat using a baby car seat to buckle them (infants) for their safety. It’s necessary. Because of infant death or serious bodily injuries in a plane crash/accident.
It’s all good.
However, they (the airlines) will be charging full adult fees for an infant to take up a seat space.
Maybe it’s time to bring back the hydrofoil boats or ferry. (only people, no cars)
