What about opening our State libraries?

Yah …. OK to open the Hawaii bars and restaurants! We live in Princeville and my “compromised-wife” has needed to check out audible books or large-print books. Didn’t do any good to contact Tulsi Gabbard. Thought she could nudge our Governor into action. The State libraries could require gloves to be disposed upon leaving, as well as masks. Any large-print books or audible CD’s wouldn’t be contaminated. She’s not contaminated.

Mahalo nui,

Kaua‘i should elect by district

I have been beating the drum for electing council members by districts for many years so it is nice to see Gary Hoosier finally come around. Also, it is interesting to note that the issue came before the Charter Commission several years ago and was defeated by one vote which was cast by the chairperson of the Commission at that time. Check him out!

The present system is a disgrace in my opinion. The biggest problem is that if you disagree with a council member on an issue or personal behavior ( Arthur Brun for example), there is no way to run someone against that particular member. A person has to run against the whole Council, not just the person you want to defeat.

Any kind of districting would be better than the system that is now in existence.
