Cartoon very well placed
The cartoon of satanic messengers of right-wing extremism sure was a great counterweight to Kimo’s mumbo-jumbo numbers of Twitter followers and bathroom lines.
The cartoon was also a light of clarity to his evil beliefs, a coup, for example, and his continuing loyalty to those who would bring darkness to this nation.

Trump defense only raises questions
I would like to respond to James “Kimo” Rosen’s “column,” “I drank the Kool-aid,” and his treasonous calls for sedition. I will overlook his opening opinion that Kamala Harris is a woman of loose morals. I will also overlook his desperate attempt to smear Hunter Biden (son of President-elect Joe Biden), as well as the debunked “Hillary’s(sp) e-mail and Benghazi. But when you praise and promote Michael Flynn’s idea to call for martial law and “suspend the Constitution” and hold an election re-vote overseen by the military, I have to wonder why you haven’t been arrested.
There are reasons why Joe Biden won so decisively while campaigning smartly and mostly remotely. The CDC advised against holding large super-spreader rallies, and Joe listened to the experts. Trump didn’t. Biden is also not so insecure as to have to tweet non-stop, hoping for constant praise and nurturing.
There are also good reasons why you didn’t see many Biden bumper stickers or yard signs. Your fellow Trumpsters are all over the internet having road rage about bumper stickers and doing property damage to those who had the signs. Flags? What’s up with that, anyway? Who is making them and profiting from them? Russia or China or Trump crime family?
You also state, “I am proud of what president Trump did for America and the world.” What has he done for us and the world? You don’t mention any of his “accomplishments” in your lengthy whine.
We do agree on one thing. You are not a rocket scientist. What I worry about is your dog formerly known as Obama.

Trump defense lacking evidence
The opinion piece, headlined “I drank the Kool-aide” (TGI, Sunday, Dec. 27), is the latest by James “Kimo” Rosen that I have read over the years, and come away with the same impression: Kimo is sincere but not necessarily strong on facts and logic. This is not intended to be a personal attack, because I truly believe he is sincere in his beliefs and does care about our country.
My first point: The president didn’t lose the election by just a little, as did the football kicker who just missed the kick “wide right” in your Super Bowl analogy. Donald Trump missed being reelected by millions of votes. It may not be a landslide, but it wasn’t that close, either.
My second point: Where’s the evidence of fraud in the election? Trump and his supporters have filed numerous lawsuits, and almost all have been rejected for the same reason — lack of evidence. Even in the few cases of irregularities, which occur in every election, there was not enough to have changed the outcome of the election. Election officials, both Republicans and Democrats, agree on that point.
You base your proof on the numbers at election rallies and on social media. Donald Trump is a master at drawing attention to himself. But that hasn’t made him a good president. Joe Biden, on the other hand, campaigned differently and far more safely. He chose to be the example of what a leader in a pandemic should do — wear a face mask, do not pull together large gatherings of people where the COVID can be spread more easily. Some make the argument that Trump’s rallies and White House gatherings helped to spread the sickness, just like the medical experts warned. I contend that Trump would have won this election had he just acted like a caring human being and not tried to shrug off the seriousness of the pandemic for so long.
Fortunately, our elections are decided by votes, not YouTube views.
It strikes me as strange that you would use the “I drank the Kool-Aid” expression (proper spelling). As I remember, it became popular after the followers of the religious leader Jim Jones, of the People’s Temple, were lured out of the country, and many died by following instructions to drink Kool-Aid laced with poison. They died because they believed in a false leader. I do not mean to insinuate that Trump is trying to murder people. But he will not be president much longer because enough of us discovered he was not the kind of leader he wanted us to believe he was.
Also, strangely, for someone who cares about America, you say you hope President Trump invokes martial law, suspends the Constitution, and brings in the military to oversee a new election. That’s what dictators do. If you want to use the democratic process to change election laws and improve the election procedures, fine. But please don’t throw out the democratic process.
You expressed the hope that we can someday realize the good Trump did for our country and the world. I suggest that be the subject of the next column you write for the Forum. But please be sure to back up what you say with facts.
