Eli Pablo

Eli Pablo passed away on June 10, 2020, in Kaumakani, at the age of 70. He was born on Nov. 9, 1949, in Waimea. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and owner of ESP Family, LLC.

Eli was preceded in death by parents Jose and Naeko Pablo; son Kalen Pablo.

Eli is survived by his wife Sylvia Valdez Pablo; son Chad Pablo of Seattle, Washington; daughter Daphne Pablo Otoman (Leighton) of Eleele; 3 grandchildren; brothers, Ted (Janice) Pablo of Waipahu, Arnold (Virginia) Pablo of Wailua, Royden (Carmela) Pablo of Lihue; sisters, Valerie (Dayne) Shigematsu of Simi Valley, California, Celia (Art)P Etes of Hanover Park, Illinois, Julene (Jonathan) Kaneakua of Kaumakani, Christine (Conrad) Ramos of Lihue; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Talk story at Garden Island Mortuary on Saturday, June 27, 2020, from 9 to 10 a.m. With a Celebration of Life to follow at 10 a.m.

Ludovico Corpus Bautista

Ludovico Corpus Bautista passed away on April 17, 2020, at Garden Isle Healthcare at the age of 90. He was born on Oct. 2, 1929 in Hilo. He was a laborer for Lihue Plantation.

Ludovico was preceded in death by wife Violeta Bautista; brother Esmael Bautista; daughter Lilia Bautista; grandsons, Fredelyn Bautista Sebastian, Ronald Cadelina Bautista.

Ludovico is survived by sons, Jaime Bautista (Estrelita) of Kauai, Erlindo Bautista (Christina) of Hilo, Loreto Bautista (Nancy) of Kona, Judie Bautista Sr. (Lorna) of Kauai; daughters, Erlinda Sebastian (Mateo) of Kauai, Consolacion Tadeo (Apolinario) of Hilo, Corazon De Guzman (Romulo) of Las Vegas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Celebration of life at Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday July 11, 2020, at 10 a.m. with burial at Lihue Cemetery. Family suggests casual attire.

Januario ‘Ayong’ Baletbet Agradi

Januario “Ayong” Baletbet Agradi of Kaumakani, passed away on June 6, 2020, at Hale Kapuna Heritage Home, at the age of 90. Born on Jan. 4, 1930, in Waimea, he was a plumber for Olokele Sugar Company.

Januario was preceded in death by parents Genario and Felecita Agrade, sisters Dolores Peralta and Mauricia Galiciano.

Januario is survived by daughters Myrna Batacan, Amalia (Clayton) Agrade Marquez, Wilma (Michael) Agor, son Marvin (Lizzette) Agrade, brothers Andres (Artelia) Corpuz, Rudy (Lita) Corpuz, sisters Elena Mamuad, Tina Abuan, Odette (Eddie) Irebaria , Lita Cook, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Borthwick Kauai Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.

Blane Kalani Haumea

Blane Kalani Haumea, 55, of Wainiha, passed away at home on June 14, 2020. He was born in Lihue on Nov. 2, 1964.

Blane was preceded in death by his parents John and Eleanor “Lady” Haumea Sr.

Blane is survived by his sisters Johnnette “Kehau” (Alan Seramur) Haumea, Stephanie Haumea, Annette Haumea, Nani (Gerry) Learned Sr., brothers John Haumea Jr, Wilbert “Bono” Haumea, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private services will be held.

Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
