Rudy Cabalteja

Rudy Cabalteja, 86, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Jan. 15, 2023. He was born in Alcala, Pangasinan, Philippines, on April 29, 1936, and retired as a maintenance worker at Westin Kaua‘i.

He was preceded in death by parents Federico Cabalteja, Basilia Cabalteja Corrales and father-in-law Victoriano Guzman.

Rudy is survived by wife Medina Cabalteja, son Bryson Dominic Cabalteja, daughters Marlene Cabalteja McLaughlin, Felina (Chito) Cabalteja Garduque, sister Rose (Tom) Hedeen, grandchildren Chino Cabalteja Ph.D, Katherine McLaughlin, Cristina McLaughlin, first cousin Carolina Cacatian Mapue, mother-in-law Ester Guzman, niece Ma. Theresa Pascua, sister-in-law Tessie Isip, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life is Saturday, Feb. 18, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Wearing masks in church is appreciated. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Terry Lane Beisch

Terry Lane Beisch, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Feb. 5, 2023 at the age of 63. He was born on Aug. 5, 1959 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and was a maintenance engineer with Marriott’s Kauai Lagoons — Kalanipu‘u and Lawai Beach Resort.

He was preceded in death by parents Mervyn and Verla Beisch and mother-in-law LeeAnn Skeie.

He is survived by wife Penny Sue Beisch, sons Tyler Beisch of New London, Minnesota, Max Beisch of Benson, Minnesota, daughter Amanda Beisch of Los Angeles, California, daughter-in-law Brandi Rasmussen of Benson, Minnesota, grandchild Keeli Beckham, brother Randy Besieh of Lehigh, Iowa, sister Roxann Beisch of Wayzata, Minnesota, sister-in-law Crystal Beisch of Lehigh, Iowa, numerous uncles, aunts, great nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life is Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023 at Kalapaki Beach from 2 to 4 p.m. The family requests aloha attire, baseball caps and welcomes flowers.
