Consuelo ‘Connie’ Marie Badua Pumaras Nadarisay

Consuelo “Connie” Marie Badua Pumaras Nadarisay, 72, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Feb. 3, 2021.

Mom was born on March 20, 1948, in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, and retired from the state of Hawai‘i Judiciary.

She is survived by her children Chrysanthemum Erorita and Edison Erorita.

We will be celebrating mom’s life at a later date and will make the announcement once the date is determined.

Adoration Ramos Soliva

As gentle as her spirit, Adoracion Ramos Soliva, 92, transitioned peacefully on Jan. 28, 2021 at her home in ‘Ele‘ele. Born on Dec. 22, 1928, in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was employed by and retired as a field hand from Northtrup King Corn Seed Company.

She was preceded in death by husband Jose Soliva, parents Lorenzo and Victoria Ramos, siblings Merced, Fermin, Melchor, Andres and Alfonso Ramos, son-in-laws Armando Tadije and Rizalino Parbo and great-grandchild Trixia Soliva.

Her legacy lives through her children Rolando (Marcelina) Soliva of Kaumakani, Robert (Conita) Soliva of California, Roger (Delia) Soliva of ‘Ele‘ele, Rodolfo (Lorna) Soliva of Kekaha, Virginia Parbo of Kekaha, Reynalda (Antonio) Daligcon of Hanapepe and Remedios Tadije of ‘Ele‘ele, sister Basilia Ramos of the Philippines, brother Arturo Ramos of the Philippines, and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her pet Kikoe.

A celebration of life is Saturday, Feb. 27, at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawa‘i, with viewing from 9 a.m. and service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.

Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

COVID-19 precautions will be enforced. Wear face masks and practice social distancing.

Dr. Richard Tadashi Haruki

Dr. Richard Tadashi Haruki passed away in Lihu‘e on Feb. 15, 2021, at the age of 88. He was born on Nov. 18, 1932, in Kealia. He was the youngest of nine siblings.

He graduated from Washington University School of Dental Medicine and practiced dentistry for 40 years. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and ceramicist. He continued ceramics long into his retirement.

He was preceded in death by parents Matsuzo and Tsurue Haruki, siblings Sadako Shimabukuro, Hiroshi Haruki, Hisayo Nakamura, Momoyo Moribe, Tokiyo Arita, Julia Suzuki, Sumie Haruki and Yoshie Kodama.

He is survived by wife Jane Haruki of Wailua, daughter Michele (Alan Iwasaki) Haruki of Lihu‘e, sons Dr. Craig Haruki of Lihu‘e and Dr. Todd (Susan) Haruki of Honolulu, grandchildren Bradley Fujiuchi, Alyssa Fujiuchi, Jordan Haruki, Lexi Haruki, Brandon Haruki and Caroline Haruki, sister-in-law Barbara Haruki of Wailua, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Michael Cockett

Michael Cockett of Lihu‘e passed away at 78 years old on Feb. 18, 2021.

He was an insurance agent with Punua Insurance Co.

He was preceded in death by parents Patrick and Clella Cockett.

He is survived by his wife Donna Lee Cockett, daughter Kelly Jones, brother Patrick Cockett, sisters-in-law Annette Figuered, Margo Baker, Linda Schweitzer and Susann Joslyn, brother-in-law James Gomes, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and grandchildren Kiana Jones and Holden Jones.

Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Dusty Keali‘i Perreira

Dusty Keali’i Perreira passed away on Feb. 12, 2021, at the age of 24, in Honolulu.

He was born on Feb. 17, 1996, in Lihu‘e.

He was preceded in death by brother Anthony Lopaka Michael.

He is survived by fiancée Temari Davis, parents Alicia (Sean) Abergas-Spriggs and Mark Perreira, brothers Dylan Abergas, Devyn Abergas, Billy (Ku‘uipo) Perreira and BJ Ortiz, all of Kaua‘i, sisters Keiley Abergas-Apilado, Ala (Jessie) Perreira-Jeffries, Misty (Trivis) Koerte and Christie Michael-Perreira, all of Kaua‘i, maternal grantparents Shirley (Wayne) Simbre-Medeiros and Francis (Geri) Abergas Sr., and by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephew and cousins.

A walk-thru visitation at Garden Island Mortuary is Saturday, March 13, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. A celebration of life is from 6 to 7 p.m. The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.

Due to COVID-19, social distancing and masks are required.

Anson A. Abalos

Anson A. Abalos passed away on Feb. 12, 2021, at the age of 63, in Waimea.

He was born on Dec. 4, 1957, in Waimea. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a project manager with Kawailoa Development.

He was preceded in death by father Dominador Abalos Sr.

He is survived by sons Anthony Abalos of Hanapepe and Aaron Abalos of Pakala, daughter Andrea (Tiara) Abalos of ‘Ele‘ele, mother Amparo Abalos, brothers George (Karleen) Abalos of Kapa‘a and Dominador (Marlyn) Abalos Jr. of Kapa‘a, sister Allison (Brad) Hiranaka of Lihu‘e, and by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Clinton Ikuzo Shiraishi

Clinton Ikuzo Shiraishi passed away on Feb. 13, 2021, in Lihu‘e. He was born on Nov. 2, 1921, in Pa‘ia, Maui.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired attorney.

He was preceded in death by parents Ikuji Shiraishi and Tomo Takaki Shiraishi.

He is survived by wife Fumiko Okada Shiraishi, sons Marshall Shiraishi of Waimea, Sherman (Molly) Shiraishi of Lihu‘e, daughter Joy (Clifton) Kukino of Lihu‘e, grandchildren Jana (Travis) Miyazaki, Mari (Nick) Walle, Mia Shiraishi, Jordan (Mllory) Kukino, Sarah Kukino and Kaylin Kukino, great-grandchildren Malie Miyazaki, Luke Walle, Grace Walle, Joshua Kukino and Aria Kukino, sisters Alice Ching of Lihu‘e and Jane Festerling of Honolulu, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private service will be held.

The family requests no koden (monetary offerings).
