Demetrio ‘Don’ Aquino
Demetrio “Don” Aquino passed away on Feb. 10, 2021, at the age of 87, in Las Vegas.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1933, in Koloa. He was a veteran with the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by wife Phyllis Aquino, son Alvin Aquino, daughter Tammy Aquino, parents Mariano “Quirino” and Clara Aquino, siblings Ben, Wen “Winky,” Elpidio “Pat,” Rudy Trinidad Pagador, Fely Begonia and Kathly Lavilla.
He is survived by daughter-in-Law Doreen Aquino of Lawa‘i, grandchild Noa Aquino, brother Dennis (Anita) of Lihu‘e, sisters Mercy (David) Remata of Makaweli, Nadia (Pablo) Sarmiento of Koloa and Dinah (Wally) Tavares of Kalaheo, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A walk-thru visitation is Saturday, April 2, at Garden Island Mortuary, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., with a celebration of life to follow. The family suggests aloha attire and welcomes flowers.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing and masks are required.

Guillermo Fabro Tejada
Guillermo Fabro Tejada passed away on March 1, 2021, at the age of 76, on Kaua‘i.
He was born on June 10, 1944 in the Philippines.
He was a carpenter and maintenance worker.
He is survived by wife of 54 years Josefina Cabradilla Tejada, sons Guillermo (Mary Jane Fernandez) Tejada Jr. of Hanama‘ulu and Joeffrey Cabradilla Tejada of Kapa‘a, daughters Maya Josephine (Joel) Tejada Roldan of Kapa‘a, Glenda (Marlon) Tejada Igaya of Hanapepe and Jona (Lucky Thammavongsa) Tejada of Kapa‘a, grandchildren Jonathan Tobey Fernandez Tejada, Morgan Joy Tejada Igaya, Kameron Ryder Tejada Igaya and Cedric Johann Fernandez Tejada, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation is Saturday, March 27, at Garden Island Mortuary, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., with a celebration of life to follow.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers,

Kazunori Hiraoka
Kazunori Hiraoka passed away on March 5, 2021, at the age of 96, in Kalaheo.
He was born on Sept. 1, 1924, in Kalaheo.
He was a supervisor with the county Department of Water.
He was preceded in death by wife Elsie Hiraoka, brother Kenneth Hiraoka, nd sisters Mitsue Kubota, Sadami Erdmann and Kikumi Fujiwara.
He is survived by son Kevin Hiraoka of Idaho, daughters Holly Hiraoka of Kaua‘i and Karen Abbriano of California, grandchildren Raffaela Abbriano Burke, Gianna Leonard, Chiara Abbriano, Alena Hiraoka and Ariana Hiraoka, great-grandchildren Dante Leonard and Theodore Leonard, brother Paul Hiraoka of California, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be determined at a later date.

Harold Dwight ‘Danny’ Frazier
Harold Dwight “Danny” Frazier was born on Feb. 25, 1958, to Clarence and Ophelia Frazier, in Hohenwald, Tennessee.
“Danny,” as he was lovingly known to his family and home town, attended Lewis County High School, graduating in 1977. He excelled in football and was active with his community church.
Shortly after graduating high school he joined the U.S. Navy, and traveled the world before his final duty assignment at the Pacific Missile Range Facility at Barking Sands on Kaua‘i where he remained for 40 years.
He became known pn Kaua‘i as “Frazier.” He was involved with the Kauai NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) drag-racing community for over 25 years, and was an avid car-lover. He also enjoyed fishing off-shore and trolling or bottom-fishing whenever he could. He loved the many roosters he raised and groomed. It seemed everywhere he traveled he would run into people who knew him and would always be asked if he had a bottle of his car polish that he formulated and perfected.
Frazier was preceded in death by parents Clarence and Ophelia Frazier, grandparents Matt and Willie Mae Brown, numerous aunts and uncle Fred T. Brown, also his great aunt Mary Ella Harris, also known as “Aunt May,” who was a large influence in his life and helped to guide him to become the man that he was. He spoke of her daily.
He is survived by his devoted and loving son Adam, stepson Ilde Panoncillo, sister Chris D. (Ronnie) Corbin of Louisiana, nephews Jovan and Vidall, brothers Jackie (Phyllis Tickle) R. Frazier and Curtis Frazier both of Centerville, Tennessee, nephews Mario, Brandon and Brent, brother Terry Frazier of Spokane, Washington, aunts Caroline Brown and June Brown of Centerville, Tennessee, special cousin Tammie Johnson Scates, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, his loving best friend and “other half” Mary S. Katahira, as well as her children: Kyle (Kalea Pereza) and Alison (Jason “Bubba” Poe Ho‘oikaika), and grandchildren.
Frazier passed to a peaceful paradise on March 14, 2021. He was loved by many and will be terribly missed.
A private scattering of his ashes will be held at a later date.
Heather Lee Ayon
Heather Lee Ayon, 46, passed away on March 1, 2021. She was born on April 30, 1974, in Covina, California.
She is survived by daughter Jada Monet Ayon, 25, of Koloa, and son Jovan Ronnie Powell, 17, of Reseda, California, parents Shirley and Frank Ayon of Kalaheo, eldest sister Deborah Ann, her husband Brian Carroll, middle sister Rebecca Lynn, nephew Edward Repsha, his wife Blackbird, grand-nephew Oliver Brennecke, grand-niece Cloud Janice, niece Skyla Rae Bowne, numerous friends on Kaua‘i, and uncles and aunties, cousins in California.
A memorial service will be held at Kalaheo Missionary Church, 4480 Kokua Road, Saturday, March 27, at 10 a,m. The family encourages aloha attire.
A private spreading of ashes and celebration of life follows the service.
