Erikue Ildefonso Caoagdan

Erikue Ildefonso Caoagdan passed away at the age of 90 on Nov. 18, 2019, at Kauai Care Center.

He was born on July 15, 1929, in Lahaina, Maui.

He was a boiler operator with Kekaha Sugar Company.

He was preceded in death by wife Celestina Caoagdan, father Felipe Caoagdan, mother Cepriana Ildefonso Caoagdan, brother Ignacio Caoagdan, daughter Gloria Caoagdan Bagayas, and son Marino Caoagdan.

He is survived by sons Rumolu (Carmelita) Caoagdan of Kekaha, Conrad (Nora) Caoagdan of Honolulu, Rey (Edna) Caoagdan of Kekaha and Mandy (Cathy) Caoagdan, daughters Elena (Guido) Domingo of Kekaha, Amy (Ivol) Sexton of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Virgie (Robert) Palencia of Pakala, Jonalyn Lancaster of San Jose, California, 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Waimea Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, with visitation from 9 a.m. with services to follow 10 a.m.

Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Delbert K. Ho‘okano Sr.

Delbert K. Ho‘okano Sr. passed away on Nov. 4, 2019, in Wailuku, Maui, at the age of 51. He was born on July 24, 1968 in Waimea. He was a ranch hand.

He was preceded in death by parents Ohu and Eliza Ho‘okano, sisters Nani Ho‘okano, U‘i Ho‘okano, Lehua Kona, Joni Ho‘okano and Kiki Ho‘okano.

He is survived by son Delbert K. Ho‘okano Jr. (Cassie Mundon), daughters Kylie Ho‘okano (Daytan Nagoo) and Seannie Ho‘okano (Kahea Travis), grandchildren Kyndan, PiliAloha, Daysen, Jordynn, Ku‘i, Kaiden and Kaipo, brothers Renfred (Michelle) Ho‘okano, Lionel Ho‘okano, Norman (Noe) Ho‘okano and Dean (Debbie) Ho‘okano, and by numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 24, at Ohu and Eliza’s hale, 9832 Pule Road, Waimea Valley, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. and services at 11:15 a.m.

Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Magdalina C. Honjo

Magdalina C. Honjo passed away on Nov. 11, 2019, in Lihue.

She was born on Aug. 20, 1934, in Hawi, Hawaii.

She was a cashier.

She is preceded in death by husband Walter Honjo, parents Placido and Alejandra Cabacungan, sisters Rosita Ujano, Rosalina Tabura and Leonora Vidinha, and brothers Lorito Pascual and Lodrigo Cabacungan.

She is survived by sons Roy Honjo of Honolulu, Randall Honjo of Kalaheo and Roger (Melanie) Honjo of Kalaheo, daughters Renette (Gary) Gaspar of Honolulu, Allison Pettersson of Honolulu, and Beverylynn (Don) Keogh of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, grandchildren Ross, Jason, Lora, Kimberlee, Devon, Bryson and Keviclyn Honjo, Brandy Thomley, Kassandra Perez, Shaylise Nacarato, Crandall, Corey and Caitlin Gaspar, and Daniel, Georgialynn DeGracia, 11 great-grandchildren, brothers Abelardo Cabacungan of Carlsbad, California, sisters Mary Leong of Los Angeles and Violet Aceret of Hanapepe, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, at Holy Cross Church, with visitation from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m.

The family suggests aloha attire.
