Josephine C. ‘Josie’ Raposas

Josephine C. “Josie” Raposas of Juneau, Alaska, died in her home on Feb. 5, 2019, at the age of 70.

She was born in Lihue on July 27, 1948.

She was preceded in death by father Cirilio Y. Raposas, mother Rosalina B. Raposas, and brother Jose Raposas.

She is survived by children Lenny Abad, Camie (Abad) Williams, Cilio Pacheco, Tyrel Pacheco, 10 grandchildren, one great-grandson, siblings Jerry Raposas, Londring Raposas, Edwin Raposas, Merlita Honma, Helen Masuda, Adeline Walter, and numerous nephews and nieces.

A gathering will be held Friday, July 12, at Port Allen Small Boat Harbor, with services to begin at 2 p.m.

Darall Arthur Pascua

Darall Arthur Pascua passed away at Marine Camp, Wailua, on Nov. 3, 2018, at the age of 56. He was born Feb. 24, 1963, in Lihue. He was a tire installer with Tire Warehouse and Pauly’s Mobile Service.

He was preceded in death by parents Edward and Joyce Pascua, and brother Randall Pascua.

He is survived by brothers Edward M. Pascua (Lisa Martinez) of Hanamaulu and Wesley (Stacy) Pascua of Wailua, sisters Abigail (Frank) Wright of Wailua and Vanessa Pascua (Craig Murata) of Lihue, and by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Church, with visitation at 9 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m.

The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Ronald Hajime Silva Sr.

Ronald Hajime Silva Sr. passed away in Lihue on June 30, 2019, at the age of 77. He was born April 10, 1942 in Lihue, he was a sewer plant operator.

He was preceded in death by parents Alfred and Harriet Silva, wife Jean Puanani Silva, sister Linda Ching and brother Fred Silva.

He is survived by sons Ronald Hajime (Debra Kuali‘i) Silva Jr. of Lihue and Aaron Kanoe (Noelani Ajimine-Silva) Silva of Oahu, four grandchildren, brothers Alfred (Harriet) Silva Jr. of Kalaheo, sisters Aileen (Dennis) Higashi of Lihue and Lori Silva of Oahu, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m. at Kauai Veterans Cemetery pavilion. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.

The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
