Alanna Ellis Agustin

Alanna Ellis Agustin, 68, of Hanama‘ulu, passed away at home on Nov. 3, 2020. She was born on Dec. 23, 1951, and was employed by Hawai‘i Pacific Health at Wilcox Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by husband Crisanto Agustin Sr., and sisters Patricia Farias and Daphne Cremer.

She is survived by children Stacy (Chad) Layosa, Crisanto Agustin Jr., Analisa (James) Kong and Jason (Cheri) Agustin of Hanama‘ulu, 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters Celeste (Tony) Farias and Valerie (Timmy) Santos, and numerous nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens, with viewing beginning at 9 a.m., a blessing at 11 a.m. and burial to follow. Social distancing and masks are required.

Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Margaret Florendo

Margaret Florendo passed away on Oct. 31, 2020, at the age of 83, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waimea.

She was born on May 12, 1937, in Waimea.

She was preceded in death by son Ken J. Florendo, parents Premetvo and Felamina Ortiz, and sisters Lucy Ortiz and Bella Ortiz.

She is survived by husband Casamero Florendo Sr., sons Casamero (Patricia) Florendo Jr. of Kekaha, Preston Florendo of Kapa‘a, Hamilton Florendo of Kalaheo and Kirk Florendo of Kekaha, daughters Corina Florendo of Honolulu and Natasha Florendo of Kekaha, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to COVID-19, her service is scheduled for a later date.

Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Susan Schiesser

Susan Schiesser of Kalaheo passed away on Oct. 30, 2020, at the age of 65, at her residence.

Born in Ohio on June 4, 1955, she was an artist.

She was preceded in death by parents Ray and Irene Siefert.

She is survived by sisters Carol (Bruce) Martin-Bowers and Mary Ann (Marvin) Nordwall.

A celebration of life will be private.
