Iris H.K. Venzon

Iris H.K. Venzon, 57, of Lihu‘e, passed away on July 20, 2020.

She was born on Nov. 24, 1962, in Lihu‘e, and was a supervisor at the state Department of Human Services medQUEST, Kaua‘i Division.

She was preceded in death by father Kiyoto Kinoshita.

She is survived by sons Vincent (Marissa) Venzon of Hilo and Garren (Kayoung) Venzon of Korea, mother Eunice Shigematsu Kinoshita of Lihu‘e, brothers Harvey (Sandy) Kinoshita of Lihu‘e and Wayne (Danilyn) Kinoshita of Hawai‘i Island, and sisters Donna Tuitupou of Utah, Jo Anne (George) Texeira of Hanama‘ulu and Kaydee (Talisiu) Huni of Lihu‘e.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, Aug. 15, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary in Koloa, with visitation at 9 a.m. and service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens in Kapaia

There will be limited seating for social distancing, and facial coverings are required.

Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Johnny Navor Negrillo

Johnny Navor Negrillo passed away on May 5, 2020, at the age of 55, at Queen’s Medical Hospital on O‘ahu.

He was born on June 4, 1964, and was a shuttle bus driver.

He is survived by wife Nida Cabigon Negrillo, sons Jonathan “Johnny” Negrillo and Brian Negrillo, daughter-in-law Melissa Morisson Negrillo, two grandchildren, parents Mariano and Adelina Negrillo, brothers Rogelio Navor Negrillo, Leody Navor Negrillo, Ruben Navor Negrillo, Ronnie Navor Negrillo and Carino Navor Negrillo, sisters Lorita Negrillo Sibayan and Florentina Negrillo Embernate, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A rosary will be held at Garden Island Mortuary on Thursday, Aug. 6, at 6:30 p.m., and Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, Aug. 7, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kalapaki Memorial Bay Park.

The family suggests casual attire, no congregating, social distancing and masks required.

Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Juan ‘John’ Carias Ampoloquio

Juan “John” Carias Ampoloquio passed away peacefully on July 27, 2020, at the age of 45.

He was a stock room associate at Walmart, and was born in Guindulman, Bohol, Philippines, on Dec. 5, 1974.

He was preceded in death by adoptive father Feliciano Ampoloquio

He is survived by wife of 20 years Marlyn Tadije Ampoloquio, adoptive mother Macaria Ampoloquio of ‘Ele‘ele, parents Loreto and Apolonia Carias of the Philippines, adoptive sister Elena (Carlito) Laborte of ‘Ele‘ele, siblings Alfreda (Jovino) Datahan, Anecito (Gemma) Carias, Mancio (Carlita) Carias, Metodio (Velma) Carias, Remegio (Rhea) Carias, Necitas (Orven) Carmona and Dioseph (Kerthyl) Carias, all of the Philippines, and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai on Wednesday, Aug. 5, with visitation at 8:45 a.m. and service at 10:45 a.m., with burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines, masks and social distancing are required.

Andrew Joseph Jardine

Andrew Joseph Jardine of Lihu‘e passed away on June 28, 2020, at the age of 41, at Wilcox Medical Center.

Born on Aug. 28, 2020, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he was a systems specialist at Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative.

He was preceded in death by brother Benjamin Jardine, paternal grandparents Joseph and Dorothy Jardine, and maternal grandparents Albert and June Steinbauer,

He is survived by parents David and Judith Jardine of New Mexico, sons Bartholomew (Lien) Jardine of Washington state and Christopher (Jo Anna Klein) Jardine of Minnesota, and numerous aunties and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
