Takeko ‘Ruth’ Agena
Takeko “Ruth” Agena passed away on Nov. 14, 2019, at the age of 94. She was born on Nov. 24, 1924, in Mana. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death husband Shigeyoshi Agena, four brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by sons Lowell (Roberta) Agena of Kekaha, Garrett (Marcia) Agena of Kekaha and Bryan Agena of Kailua, Hawaii, daughter Lynn (Ben) Estacio of Kirkland, Washington, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, sisters Yasuko Matsunaga of Portland, Oregon and Mae Chong of Honolulu, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 20, at Garden Island Mortuary, with visitation from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and serives at 10:30 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.

Miriam Ella Kanahele
Miriam Ella Kanahele passed away on Nov. 11, 2019, at home in Kekaha at the age of 59. She was born on Dec. 16, 1959.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by husband Tony K. Kanahele of Kekaha, sons Tyres K. (Jade) Kanahele of Kekaha and Silas K. Kanahele of Kekaha, daughter Trina K. Kanahele of Kekaha, six grandchildren, brother Melvin Kauwila Pahulehua Jr. of Kekaha, sister Gladys Lei Awapuhi Kahale of Kekaha, and by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at St. Paul Episcopal Church in Kekaha, with visitation at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery.
The family assists casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Charles Blake Pereira
Charles Blake Pereira of Anahola passed away on Nov. 14, 2019, at Wilcox Medical Center, at the age of 90.
Born in Koloa on June 22, 1929, he was a retired sergeant in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by parents Philomen and Gloria Pereira, wife Jennie Pereira, son Philomen Pereira, and sisters Francis and Marie.
He is survived by daughters Gloria Rafael and Cheryle Panua, brothers Edwin Pereira amd Wilbert Pereira, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at St. Catherine Church in Kapaa, where visitation is at 8:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m.

Delbert K. Ho‘okano Sr.
Delbert K. Ho‘okano Sr. passed away on Nov. 4, 2019, in Wailuku, Maui, at the age of 51. He was born on July 24, 1968 in Waimea, and was a ranch hand.
He was preceded in death by parents Ohu and Eliza Ho‘okano, and sisters Nani Ho‘okano, U‘i Ho‘okano, Lehua Kona and Kiki Ho‘okano.
He is survived by son Delbert K. Ho‘okano Jr. (Cassie Mundon), daughters Kylie Ho‘okano (Daytan Nagoo), Seannie Ho‘okano (Kahea Travis), seven grandchildren, brothers Renfred (Michelle) Ho‘okano, Lionel Ho‘okano, Norman (Noe) Ho‘okano and Dean (Debbie) Ho‘okano, sister Joni Ho‘okano, and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be on Sunday, Nov. 24, at Ohu and Eliza’s hale, 9832 Pule Road, Waimea Valley, with visitation at 10:30 a.m. and services at 11:15 a.m.

Joni Ho‘okano
Joni Ho‘okano passed away on Nov. 6, 2019, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waimea.
She was born on June 19, 1955, in Waimea.
She was preceded in death by parents Ohu and Eliza Ho‘okano, and sisters Nani Ho‘okano, U‘i Hookano, Lehua Kona and Kiki Ho‘okano, and brother Delbert Ho‘okano Sr.
She is survived by son Alfred (Jackie) Ho‘okano, brothers Renfred (Michelle) Ho‘okano, Lionel Ho‘okano, Norman (Noe) Ho‘okano and Dean (Debbie) Ho‘okano, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 24, at Ohu and Eliza’s hale at 9832 Pule Rd., Waimea Valley, with visitation at 10:30 a.m. and a celebration of life at 11:15 a.m.
