Aletha Blanche Matsusaka

Aletha Blanche Matsusaka passed away on March 20, 2022, at the age of 74, at home in ‘Ele‘ele. She was born on May 28, 1947 in Waimea. She was a beautician.

She was preceded in death by husband Ronald K. Matsusaka, mother May M. Corr, father James W. Corr, brothers James Corr Jr. and Richard Corr Sr., sisters Goldie Mae Kahale and Colleen Okamoto, and great-grandchild Lily Wa‘alani-Matsusaka.

She is survived by sons Myron (Channel Jerves) Kalani Matsusaka of ‘Ele‘ele and Clifford K. Matsusaka of Kalaheo, daughter Staci Ilima Matsusaka of Kalaheo, 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brothers Charles (Jean) Corr of Texas, John Corr (Sandy) of California and Wilfred (Patricia) Kuali‘i of Puhi, sister Barbara (Julian) Velasquez of Utah, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service is at Garden Island Mortuary Saturday, April 9, with visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. with a celebration of life at 10 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Priscilla Reyes Adamos

Priscilla Reyes Adamos, 78, of Lihu‘e, passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on April 3, 2022. She was born in the Philippines on Oct. 15, 1943, and was a seamstress.

She was preceded in death by husband Jaime Adamos and son Marcelle Adamos.

She is survived by sons Joel Adamos, James Adamos and Adrian Adamos, daughter Freda (Robert) Tetrault, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous siblings in the Philippines, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services and burial will be held in San Francisco Bay Area.

Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
