Albert ‘Butchy’ B. Correia
Albert “Butchy” B. Correia, 78, passed away on Feb. 3, 2023 at Wilcox Medical Center. He was born on May 23, 1944, in Honolulu. He was a troubleshooter for McBryde Sugar Company in Koloa.
He was preceded in death by parents Martin and Virginia Correa.
He is survived by wife Rose Correia, daughters Yolanda Correia and Melinda (Darrell Balaan) Correia, son Shane (Celeste) Correia and brother Gregory (Alesia) Correia.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, March 7, at The Church at Koloa. Visitation begins at 9 a.m., service at 10 a.m., and a celebration of life to follow at Po‘ipu Beach Park.
Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Maria Lourdes Singson-Bueno
Maria Lourdes Singson-Bueno, 56, of Lihu‘e, passed away in Lihu‘e on Feb. 8, 2023. She was born in San Juan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, on April 10, 1966, and was a certified nursing assistant at Hale Kapuna Heritage Home and a private home caregiver with Marilou Racc Home.
She was preceded in death by parents Herino and Cecilia Singson and sister Genoveva S. Visario.
She is survived by son Archilles Singson-Bueno, daughter Karen Monic Singson-Bueno, grandchildren Korra Charlotte Singson-Bueno Peralta and Athena Cassandra Singson-Bueno Peralta, siblings Alberto L. Singson, Reynaldo L. Singson, Cornelia Guzman, Luzmelda Ondevilla and Godofredo L. Singson, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life is Friday, Feb. 17, at St. Catherine Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. and Mass celebrated at noon. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
