Dennis ‘Tamago’ I. Muraoka

Dennis “Tamago” I. Muraoka, of Koloa, passed away on Feb. 24, 2022, at the age of 69. He was born on July 2, 1952, on Kaua‘i. He was retired from the County of Kaua‘i.

He was preceded in death by parents Mitsugi and Matsue Muraoka.

He is survived by sisters Shirley (Del) Harmon, Ruth Siu, Gladys Muraoka and June (David) Zimmerman, brother Eddie (Birdie) Muraoka, and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life is Tuesday, March 15, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary chapel in Koloa. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., with services to follow at 9:30 a.m.

Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Tony W. Honeycutt

Tony W. Honeycutt, 74, short-time resident of Kapa‘a and long-time resident of Brookings, Oregon, passed away Feb. 24, 2022, from lung cancer. He was born in Erwin, Tennessee on Aug. 10, 1947, and was a Vietnam War veteran, having worked many various jobs after returning home.

He was preceded in death by mother Ethel Ingram, and siblings Freddie Honeycutt, Nathan Honeycutt and Cynthia Ingram.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Fellows-Honeycutt, children Michael Honeycutt, Adrian Wilson, Heather Ciarcia, Matthew Honeycutt and Nicole Fellows-Bayless, siblings Niles Honeycutt and Paulette Honeycutt, multiple grandchildren in North Carolina, South Carolina and California, and one great-grandchild in South Carolina.

Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Maxine H. Iha

Maxine H. Iha, of Koloa, passed away on Feb. 19, 2022, at the age of 75. She was born in Honolulu on Nov. 17, 1946. She was a retired cafeteria manager at Waimea High School.

She was preceded in death by mother Alice Whitford, husband Robert Iha and son Lyons “Curly” Perry.

She is survived by sons Kalani (Candyce) Perry, John Perry and Kaipo (Karlee) Perry, daughter Anela Delima, grandchildren Bailey, Aliyah, Johnell, Jayson, Mokelani, Harley, Kurt, Kory, and Hi‘ilei Perry, and Travis, Hilton, Megan and Casey Delima.

A private celebration of life will be held.
